President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially appointed Professor Segun Aina as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to reports, Prof. Aina will take over from Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, whose tenure is expected to end on July 31, 2026.
Prof. Segun Aina is a respected Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

Reports also reveal that he began his career at JAMB during his NYSC service year, where he gained early experience in admission and data systems management.

He has also completed a Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School.
With over 15 years of experience in technology, digital infrastructure, and institutional reforms, Prof. Aina has worked closely with major education bodies in Nigeria.

Many stakeholders believe the appointment could usher in a stronger digital transformation for JAMB, especially in areas related to CBT systems, examination security, and admission processing.
President Tinubu reportedly expressed confidence that the incoming registrar would build upon the achievements already recorded by the outgoing administration.
