The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released important updates for all candidates preparing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates are advised to stay informed and prepare adequately as the examination period draws closer.
📌 JAMB Mock Exam Successfully Conducted
The JAMB 2026 mock examination has already been conducted on March 28, 2026. The mock exam was organized to help candidates familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.
Candidates who participated are encouraged to learn from their experience and improve their preparation ahead of the main UTME.
📌 Main UTME Examination Date
The main UTME examination is scheduled to hold from April 16 to April 25, 2026.
All candidates should intensify their reading and ensure they are fully prepared before the examination date.
📌 Direct Entry (DE) Registration Ongoing
JAMB has commenced Direct Entry registration for candidates seeking admission into 200 level.
- Registration Period: March – April 25, 2026
- Registration Fee: Approximately ₦5,700
Registration is only available at approved JAMB offices nationwide.
📌 Important Warning from JAMB
JAMB has issued a strict warning against examination malpractice. The board has already taken action against candidates and institutions involved in irregularities and fake documents.
Candidates are advised to avoid any form of malpractice as severe penalties may apply.
📌 UTME Registration Closed
The registration for the 2026 UTME has officially closed. Only candidates who completed their registration will be eligible to sit for the examination.
📌 No Increase in JAMB Fees
JAMB has clarified that there is no increase in the UTME registration fee. Candidates should ignore any false or misleading information regarding fee increment.
