1. FUOYE Pre-Degree Students Excel in 2025 UTME

Out of 612 Pre-Degree candidates at FUOYE, an impressive 410 scored above 200, with the top score reaching 338. Acting VC Prof. Shittu praised the students and faculty for setting a strong academic standard.  


2. FUOYE Strengthens Campus Security

Students recently raised alarms about increased robbery off-campus. In response, FUOYE management has announced enhanced safety measures and improved patrol systems to protect the campus community.


3. FUTA and Ondo State Partner for Eco-Tourism Project

FUTA is collaborating with Ondo State to revamp OSSE River Park into an international eco-tourism site. This partnership involves the Forestry and Ecotourism Departments and seeks to boost wildlife research and field training.  


4. FUTA Hosts Academic Workshop for Early-Career Lecturers

A one-day capacity-building workshop was held at FUTA for early-career faculty, emphasizing improved research methodology, teaching techniques, and classroom management.


5. UNILAG Distance Learning Institute Forms Now Open

UNILAG’s Distance Learning Institute has released its 2025/26 admission form. No UTME required—with applicants paying ₦3,500 for JAMB registration and ₦20,000 application fee. Open to both fresh and part-time learners.  


6. UNIBEN Signs MOU with Chinese University

The University of Benin has entered a Memorandum of Understanding with Fujian Jiangxia University, China. The agreement opens doors for teacher-student exchanges and joint research projects.  


7. UNIBEN Hostel Irregularities Spark Student Outcry

Reports have emerged of hostel bed-space cancellations and arbitrary reassignments across UNIBEN hostels. Affected students say this caused major disruptions this term.  


8. Babcock University Expels Student for Criminal Offences

Oladipupo Siwajuola was expelled from Babcock University after the institution uncovered evidence of drug peddling, fetish practices linked to cyber fraud schemes, and impersonation. Management emphasized its zero-tolerance policy on misconduct.  


9. LAUTECH Admission & Post-UTME Portal Live

LAUTECH has opened its 2025/26 Post-UTME & Direct Entry application portal. Candidates are required to create accounts and log in to check their admission status.  


10. LAUTECH Appoints First Female Librarian

Dr. Adefunke Sarah Ebijuwa has been inaugurated as the first alumnus and female Librarian at the Olusegun Oke Library, marking a historic advancement in gender representation and leadership.
