The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has named 19-year-old Jumoke Deborah Olatunji, a 100-level Linguistics and Language student, as the new face of the institution. Announced during the 9th Convocation Ceremony by Pro-Chancellor Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), this recognition celebrates Deborah’s resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Despite facing mockery due to her small stature, Deborah remained focused on her education, refusing to let challenges define her. In honor of her perseverance, FUOYE has taken full responsibility for her university education, ensuring financial constraints don’t hinder her academic journey.
Senator Ndoma-Egba praised Deborah as an embodiment of excellence, reminding students that true greatness is measured by character and determination. Her story serves as an inspiration to many, reinforcing FUOYE’s commitment to nurturing talent and celebrating diversity.
