Dear Staff and Students,

I warmly welcome you to the 2024/2025 academic session on behalf of the entire university community. We are thrilled to have you back on campus to resume your academic journey on September 23, 2024. FUOYE remains committed to providing a conducive learning environment, cutting-edge research opportunities, and a rich campus experience.

This session promises to be exciting, with enhanced academic programs and curricula, improved infrastructure and facilities, expanded support services for students, and a range of extracurricular activities and events. 

During the break, our university was abuzz with activities, as various directorates within the school organized several intriguing training programs. These training sessions aimed to enhance skills, knowledge, and personal development, and we hope that those who participated found them beneficial. Additionally, we were honored to host inaugural lectures, which showcased the expertise and research of our distinguished faculty members. These lectures not only highlighted the academic excellence of FUOYE but also provided a platform for intellectual discourse and engagement.

I am also delighted to report that during the break, we received a visit from the Chairman of Council, Engr. Kayode Ojo, who was accompanied by a team from the Governing Council. This visit was a great opportunity for us to showcase our campuses (Oye-Ekiti, Ikole-Ekiti, Ayegbaju) and facilities, and to discuss our plans and progress with the Governing Council. We appreciate the continued support and guidance of the Governing Council, and we look forward to working together to achieving our goals.

I encourage our students to embrace this session with enthusiasm and dedication. Students should seize every chance to learn, grow, and explore their potentials. They should engage with their studies, participate in campus life, and build meaningful relationships with their peers and mentors. 

To our staff, I express my gratitude for your tireless efforts in shaping the minds of our future leaders. Your commitment to excellence and student success is the backbone of our institution. I urge you to continue inspiring, guiding, and supporting our students as they navigate their academic journey. Together, let us foster a culture of inclusivity, creativity, and critical thinking. Let us strive for excellence, embrace challenges, and celebrate our achievements.
